LASTING POWER OF ATTORNEY
It is often something we do not think about but if you become ill it is important that you organise your financial and legal affairs while you are still able to do so. This ensures that in the future, your affairs are set up in a way you have chosen and that the person you have appointed to act as your ‘attorney’ follows the decisions you have made when you have become too ill to make these decisions for yourself.
A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you to choose someone who can make decisions on your behalf about your health & welfare, as well as looking after your finances and property, if you become unable to do so for yourself.
We can help you to apply for a lasting Power of Attorney and can also act as an ‘attorney’ to make decisions on your behalf if you have no friends or family able to do so.
There are two types of LPA:
LPA for financial decisions
LPA for health and care decisions
